About The Theme Foundry
Beautiful handcrafted WordPress themes
At the core of every theme we release you will find some key ingredients: attention to detail, cleanliness, care, usability, and simplicity. We purposely don't focus on bells and whistles because they always fade away. We believe simple is beautiful.
The code we write is lean, concise, and easy to use. We don't build on top of complicated and confusing frameworks or add unnecessary feature bloat to our themes. Instead, we choose to leverage the built-in power of WordPress to deliver clean, fast, lightweight themes that look great and are a snap to customize and use.
Great service and professional support
Support has long been the "Achilles' Heel" of any WordPress theme. Will the theme developer be around if something breaks or if I have questions? Rest easy, we've got you covered. Great service is the cornerstone of our business and we take it very seriously. We work hard every day to provide fast, friendly, and professional support to our members. Think of your membership as your safety net, it will always be there when you have questions, concerns, or problems.
Who's behind The Theme Foundry?
The Theme Foundry is brought to you by Jestro LLC, a design studio based in Boise, Idaho. We build clean and usable interfaces using open source software like WordPress and Ruby on Rails.
All of our themes are designed, built, and maintained by Creative Director/Principal Drew Strojny. He also happens to hold the all-time record for posts in the support forums.
Our Story
The Theme Foundry was launched in September of 2008 with the release of our flagship WordPress theme, Vigilance. The project was originally known as Jestro Themes and lived on a sub-domain of jestro.com. We would later realize the original name and location were both short-sighted choices.
In March of 2009 we released Titan, our second theme, and re-designed our website. A few months later we changed the name to Themes by Jestro.
Towards the end of 2009 we released our third WordPress theme, Punchcut, and once again re-designed the website to pave the way for more themes. At this point the project had outgrown "subdomain status" and in January of 2010 the name was officially changed to The Theme Foundry. And as the old cliché goes, the rest is history!
