I am super excited to announce the release of our newest WordPress theme, Traction! Traction is a dark and clean magazine style theme with a robust options menu and built in support for WordPress post thumbnails. This is the theme I meant to design when I started Punchcut late last year, it just wasn’t ready yet. Traction comes with a boatload of features, including three colors schemes (red, blue, green), built in Twitter support, and much more. I encourage you to browse through all the features and take it for a test drive. Be sure to let me know what you think in the comments.

We have 2 new page templates hot off the press and available to our PRO members. You now have the option to use a dedicated Archives and Sitemap template on your blog. These are pretty handy if you want to give your readers a quick and easy way to scan over your content. To use your new templates create a new page called “Archives” and select the “Archives” page template from the Attributes menu on the right hand side of the page editor. Publish the page and you are done. You would follow the same steps to create a Sitemap page.
If you have not customized your PRO child theme then simply upload and overwrite your old theme with the new one (make a backup just in case). You can download the new child themes from the member resources page. If you have made customizations please follow the manual upgrade instructions below.

Titan has now been upgraded to our new framework and is ready for translation! We just recently completed this process with Vigilance, our flagship WordPress theme. We didn’t want Titan to feel left out, so she is now sporting a shiny new options page and framework as well.
Titan 1.12 has just been released. Go ahead and download it now. This release is a minor upgrade fixing a couple small issues:
- Bugfix: Missing paragraph styling in the sidebox
- Bugfix: Long post headers were not wrapping correctly
Titan has been very quick, lean, and stable since it’s initial launch 4 short months ago. If you have any bug reports please post them in the comments.

We just pushed out Titan 1.11 with some new features, bug fixes, and modifications. Here is the laundry list of changes:
- Feature: You can now disable Flickr from the theme options menu and use a footer widget instead
- Feature: Added a style for
<h2>tags in the top notice - Feature: The image
.borderclass now actually puts a nice border around an entry image - Bug Fix: Sidebar photo was too wide by a couple pixels
- Bug Fix: Hide categories from navigation menu did not work
- Bug Fix: Incorrectly closed list
- Titan now registers a sidebar by default
- The notice is no longer enabled by default
- Cleaned up and streamlined the notice theme options
- Corrections in the about section of the footer
After looking at the theme for a couple days there were a few design annoyances we wanted to clean up and a few features we wanted to add. We ended up changing the look slightly hence the version bump. Here is the run-down on version 1.1:
- Changed the look of the top notice to improve visibility and cleanliness.
- Tweaked dimensions and added more width to the content. It felt cramped.
- Fixed the Flickr link issue and provided clear instructions in the options menu.
- Added a toggle on/off option for the Twitter & Email links.
