Titan 1.0 Released

by Drew Strojny on March 11, 2009 in News, Titan

We are proud and excited to announce the arrival of our second WordPress theme, Titan. We know you can’t wait to get it in your hot little hands so hustle over to the download page and give it a spin.

Premium and Free

Titan is a super clean, premium quality WordPress theme that is completely free. Titan is released under the terms of the GNU GPLv3. We know you are really excited to read the license, but we will sum it up for you anyway:

  • Titan is free for you to download, customize, and use.
  • You aren’t allowed to distribute Titan under a different license.

That was easy, now on to the fun stuff.

Titan’s Features

We could go on and on about all of Titan’s features. Titan comes equipped with a handy Theme Options Menu that allows for some serious customization out of the box. Here are a few of the features Titan has to offer:

Twitter Ready

Twitter is the hot new kid on the block, and using Twitter with Titan is incredibly easy. Insert your Twitter URL in the Titan Options Menu, hit save, and you are good to go!

Flickr Footer

Want to share your Flickr photos on your WordPress powered site? Titan makes it easy. Insert your Flickr URL into the Titan Options Menu and your photos show up in the footer, nicely and neatly arranged. That was easy.

Super Clean Drop Down

Titan features a super clean and flexible drop down navigation menu. You can even include/exclude specific pages or categories in your menu using the Titan Options Menu.

Want More?

Are you looking for more powerful features? How about your logo in the header? Or maybe you need a couple extra page templates? Sounds like you might be ready for a PRO membership. Head over to the sign-up page and grab one.

I guess we are left to enter comments, to see how they look.

Matt you need to build a javascript badge and extract the link from the bottom of the badge code. I am going to include a link in the options menu in the next release.

We did update the theme today! Just posted about it.

Nice work on your site! Curious why you chose to remove the link credit back to here?

Currently trying to make my site look as snazzy as possible.

I wrote a whole new footer copy, leaving out the credit.

When I am happy and announce the finish of the design I will write a message of credit back to you.

Don’t want to take away your credit at all. You will be re initiated :)

    On a completely different topic,

is it possible to create a page template with no sidebar?

or… have different sidebar content for pages such as, contact info on the sidebar of the about page.

    Thanks for the great help.

    Matt,

Check out PRO membership. 2 custom page templates are included, 1 with no sidebar, and you get full access to the support forums. And you support the development of more free themes :)
