Coming soon: Shelf

By Drew Strojny on November 12, 2010

We have received quite a few emails and inquiries regarding the release date of Shelf, our upcoming tumblog style theme designed by Jon Hicks. I want to give you an update on where we are in the development process and share some exciting news about the theme.

Shelf status

Shelf is nearly finished, and we are now in the browser testing and bug fixing phase. The unique horizontal layout of the theme and advanced tumblog functionality both require some extra care and love when it comes to development. We still have a few outstanding issues to resolve, and want to make sure Shelf is hitting on all cylinders before handing it off to you. The screenshot you see at the top of the post is from the latest development build of Shelf for WordPress.

Did you know that Surf Office, Postmatic, Yeah Dave, and over 700,000 small businesses run their websites with Make, our free WordPress page builder. Discover the Make page builder now.

Wait, Shelf for WordPress?

You heard right! We will also be releasing a Tumblr version of Shelf! This is our first foray into a new platform, and a no-brainer really, Shelf is a perfect fit for Tumblr.

Post from your iPhone

Shelf will have full support for the iPhone, iPad, and most other mobile devices. Not only that, Shelf will be fully compatible with the new Express iPhone app from WooThemes! This will make posting straight to Shelf from your iPhone easy as pie.

Stay tuned!

Keep an eye on this blog, Twitter, and Facebook to be notified as soon as Shelf is released. We are working hard to get it in your hands as soon as possible.
