A “Sticky” post is highlighted by being displayed first on your blog page. Additionally, your theme may style sticky posts to differentiate them from regular posts.
To make a post “Sticky” click Edit on the Visibility options in the Publish metabox on the right side of the post editor. Check the box to Stick this post to the front page.
