Background Images

Add texture, personality, and brand charm with background images.

The Background Images panel in the Customizer provides options for adding and configuring background images for various regions of the site.

Site

The site background image is applied to the body element. If the global Site Layout option is set to “Full Width”, this background image will be hidden by the Main Column, unless it is configured to have a background color opacity of less than 1.

Header

The header background image is applied to the site header area that includes branding and the main menu. The Header Bar is not included.

Main Column

The Main Column contains everything between the site header and the footer. If you add a background image for this, we recommend something subtle and low-contrast so that content is still legible on top of it.

Footer

The footer background image is applied to the site footer area, including the widget areas.
